Help with food for the needy: Second Harvest Food Bank

Please join other Dartmouth alumni in providing some of our great “helping hands” to one of the largest food banks in the U.S., the Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. Second Harvest provides food to nearly a quarter of a million people each month - people who sorely need their help. More than half of that food is healthy and nutritious fresh produce!

DAASV is scheduled for a Second Harvest Food Sort on Saturday, November 3, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Second Harvest’s Cypress Center at 4001 North First Street, San Jose. Dartmouth alums can help make a difference - and help with food for the needy in our community is a great way to provide that help!

Young, strong backs are especially welcome, as food sorting usually involves quite a bit of lifting and bending. Participants must be at least 14 years old, and youths 14 and over must be accompanied by an adult. The dress code at the Food Bank is casual and comfortable. No shorts and no tank tops are permitted. Closed toe shoes and long pants are required.
